If you have a narcissist in your life it may be due to how you hide your narcissist shadow. It is likely due to a childhood trauma where you were taught that for some reason you were unlovable. This is very enlightening for those who have had or are still experiencing a narcissistic person in their life. A narcissist is simply mirroring to you your lack of self-love. This is the issue the narcissist needs to realize and work on. We all have a bit of narcissism in us as we all have that me mentality. What about me? Focus on me. This is normal but what separates us is the lack of empathy an actual narcissist has. Because of their constant struggle to feel loved, they do not wish to share the spotlight.
